In 1948, after a walk in the castle ( very much dammaged after the 1936 fire), three personalities from Marsillargues realize that a few items deserve being restaured and kept in a museum. So, they alerted the village inhabitants who sponteanously emptied their attics, and actively participated by their donations, to the opening of the museum which will take place in the ground- floor rooms of the castle
Museum also opens during the "journées du patrimoine" event and during festivities organized by the castle.
